Threads of Green Fabrics - suppliers of materials for dressmakers and costumiers worldwide - photography for 600 plus fabric samples and abstract shots for the online shop. Kilkenny-based established business with an international reputation. The challenge here was to realistically depict reflective and metallic fabrics online for the web designers - something few fabric suppliers have attempted. Broadband advised for this database-driven site.

Pay Per Click - why it doesn't pay
Pay Per Click (PPC) will only yield results while you continue to pay. If you stop, the adverts vanish. Even when the adverts appear, only 18% of searchers click on paid adverts. Many general searches are not done by potential customers but you still pay when they click.
The goal for a business website is to be listed on 'organic' or unpaid seaches. This is what we specialise in doing. It not only works, it works out cheaper than most PPC campaigns and your website stays up there with only minor tweaking each month. We don't waste your time* with Social Media campaigns which only work for transient, shallow advertising stunts. *We do however recommend YouTube for good incoming links which costs you nothing to set up.

USING PHOTO COMPOSITES
Back in 1984, my Photography Degree show was based on making photo composites (or photomontage). I have specialised in this ever since.
In 2001, I won 2 gold medals from the Irish Photographic Federation for my photomontage work. Photo composites allow an image to convey much more than a simple record. What I like about them is the layers of meaning they can convey. The technique can equally be applied to a product range. The above banner image represents a brief history of Ireland, from the earliest religious and 'Big House' era to modern-day heritage trail symbols. All component photographs are from my stock photography collection and were taken over several years in many different locations in Ireland.
